অঙ্কের জাদুকর By (author)মোত্তাসিন পাহলভী গণিতপ্রেমী রাফাত গণিত নিয়ে গবেষণা করে গণিতের বিভিন্ন ট্রিকস শিখতে থাকে। এছাড়া মাঝেমধ্যে রাফাত তার দাদু, বাবা ও বড় ভাইয়ের কাছ থেকে গণিতের বিভিন্ন ম্যাজিক নিয়ম শেখে। সেই অঙ্কের ম্যাজিকগুলো প্রায়ই রাফাত তার বন্ধুদের সাথে শেয়ার করে। এজন্য অনেক বন্ধুই রাফাতকে ‘অঙ্কের জাদুকর’ বলে ডাকে। এখানে রাফাত একটা প্রতীকী নামমাত্র। প্রকৃতপক্ষে রাফাতের মতো গণিতপ্রেমী সবাই অঙ্কের জাদুকর।

অন্তরমহল আলিয়া আজাদ মানসিক এবং মানবিক– এই দুটো বিষয় খুব কাছের। মানসিক সমস্যার সাথে মানবিক গুণাবলি থাকা-না থাকার একটা বিশেষ যোগ আছে। সাধারণত অনেক সময় যুগের সাথে তাল মিলিয়ে লাভ-লোকসানের হিসাব করেই আমরা মানবিক গুণাবলির প্রতি আগ্রহী হই। কারণ আমরা সরাসরি এর দ্বারা হওয়া লাভ-ক্ষতি দেখতে পাই না। এটা অন্তরাল থেকে আমাদেরকে সাহায্য করে ভালো থাকতে। এটা মানুষের অন্তর গঠনের কারিগর, মানসিক স্বাস্থ্য ভালো রাখার হাতিয়ার। প্রত্যেকটা মানুষের মৌলিক কিছু মানদণ্ড থাকে, যা তার পরিবারিক শিক্ষা। মানুষ কোনো পরিস্থিতিতেই বিবেকহীন হতে পারে না। এটা তার মৌলিক গুণাবলির অংশ। যেমন, একজন মানুষ চাইলেই সব দান করে দিতে পারবে না বা খুব খারাপ হতে পারবে না। তার ভালো বা মন্দ হওয়ার একটা নির্দিষ্ট মাত্রা থাকবে। এই অন্তরমহলের খবর আমরা কেউ জানি না। আমাদের মনে কখন কী ধরনের পরিবর্তন হয় তা বোঝা কঠিন। মনের কোন কষ্ট বা আনন্দ জীবনের কোন ঘটনার সাথে জুড়ে আছে তা একটা রহস্যই বটে। একই মানুষের অনেক রূপ। তবে একটা নির্দিষ্ট ছকের বাইরে আমরা কেউ যেতে পারি না। এই নির্দিষ্ট ছক যার যার সত্তা। কখনো কখনো আমাদের নিজস্ব ভাবনা অবাক করে দেয়, কখনো ভয় পাইয়ে দেয়, কখনো আবার সামলেও নেয়। পরিবেশ, পরিস্থিতি, অভিজ্ঞতার বলয়ে তা পরিবর্তিত হয়। সমাজ, সংস্কৃতির প্রয়োজনে তা ভিন্ন রূপ ধারণ করে। এই পরিবর্তন লক্ষ্য করে আয়ত্তে আনা খুব সহজ বিষয় নয়। এই দক্ষতার খোঁজ করা খুব কঠিন, কিন্তু অসম্ভব নয়। আমাদের মনের মাঝে অনেক অনুভূতি, আবেগ, বিশ্বাসের খেলা চলে। যে পরিবার বা পরিবেশে আমরা বড়ো হই, সেখান থেকে কিছু নীতিবোধ শিখি, যা আমাদের পথচলার পাথেয় হয়। ছোটোবেলার সেই বোধ আমাদের মাঝে অগ্রাধিকার ভিত্তিতে সিদ্ধান্ত নেওয়া শেখায়। অন্তরালের অদেখা-অচেনা বোধগুলো জেনে তা নিয়ন্ত্রণের ক্ষমতা কী করে অর্জন করা যায় এবং কী করে জীবনকে আরও সুন্দর ও সফলভাবে পরিচালিত করা যায়, তার ব্যাখ্যাই দেবে ‘অন্তরমহল’।
